“Maybe your reason why all the doors are closed
So you could open one that leads you to the perfect road
Like a lightning bolt, your heart will glow
And when it’s time, you’ll know”

Katy Perry, “Firework”

Who am I?

No kid really knows the answer to that question, consciously, but sometimes people around us know.  As a kid I loved to read, I adored it!  My parents weren’t too keen on it, because I grew bad habits with it.  You know the whole reading at the dinner table, and walking around with your nose in a book.  (If you want a visual, I had the big plastic purple glasses, too).  However, My grandfather, would buy me piles of books, fostering the love of reading in me.  My love of books and reading is the first thing I have loved because of me.

Reading is a world for me, where the characters go on a journey to places, grow new relationships, and foster a fascinating plot.  But it’s always a journey.  A journey the character goes through that enables a growth in then that makes them a stronger person.

I’m a character in my own book. I have my own journey of personal growth and discovery.  I like reading, Backstreet Boys, I found a husband who fulfills my true needs and desires, orchids, and that I am not really a fan of grad school.  Where will I go next?

I’m going to read from the early posts to the most recent. Off to a good start. That description of you when you’re younger reminds me of Alena… I really don’t mind if she reads at the dinner table. I love that she reads like that. ❤
